Johannesburg Area – Gauteng: A leading player in the supply chain and transportation industry is seeking a Solutions Manager to design, develop, and implement innovative business solutions. This role is central to driving operational efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and creating tailored solutions to meet client needs within logistics and supply chain management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Relevant degree in Engineering (Industrial or Process), Finance, Logistics

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supply chain optimization role

· Understanding and ability to:

o Craft end-to-end supply chain solutions by interpreting results

provided by:

§ Solution crafting software

§ Inventory optimization software

§ Drafting software (AutoCAD)

§ Warehouse management software

§ Fleet design and optimization including route scheduling software

· Commercialize the proposed solutions

· Present solutions to the customer and operations

· Project manage the implementation of solutions

· Understanding of sales and logistics industry

· Operational experience would be an Advantage

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

· End-to-end supply chain optimization over various sectors

o Understand the customer’s needs

o Analyse existing operations, perform GAP analyses, identify problematic areas and propose solutions

o Business process re-engineering

o Calculate optimal resource complement and configurations

o Create commercial offering for the solution

o Document proposals

o Present solutions to the customer and operations

· Project manage the implementation of solutions

o Take projects from conceptual design to implementation and handover to operations

o Scoping of projects, resourcing, timelines, costs and outcomes

o Develop a project plan

o Report on project progress

o Lead project team/s

o Managing quality of outputs

o Ensuring deadlines are achieved

o Managing project costs in line with budget

o Documenting case studies

o Develop performance standards

o Measure performance according to standards

o Evaluate performance on a regular basis

· Manage and respond to tenders

o Understand the customer’s needs based on tender requirement

o Analyse data, perform GAP analyses, identify optimisation opportunities and propose solutions

o Business process re-engineering

o Calculate optimal resource complement and configurations

o Create commercial offering for the solution

o Document proposals

o Present solutions to the customer and operations

· Other

o Research and keep abreast with development in operations, systems, warehousing and equipment methodologies

o Assist with lead generation (new and organic growth)
