Belfast / Carolina Area – Mpumalanga: An established beef farming and animal feed manufacturing operation based in Pretoria is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cost analysis, and operational finance functions, with a strong focus on agriculture and feed manufacturing efficiencies, including animal feed conversion rates.
This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional who understands the link between financial performance and agricultural production operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BCom degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant financial accounting experience.
- Experience in agriculture, feed manufacturing, or livestock operations.
- Understanding of animal feed conversion ratios and production costing.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and manage monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Monitor and analyse production and feed cost structures.
- Track and report on animal feed conversion rates and production efficiency.
- Assist with management accounts and financial performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Work closely with operational and farm management teams.
- Support audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
