Wartburg area, KwaZulu-Natal province – South Africa: This is a varied position for someone who understands farming, machinery and earthmoving, enjoys working outdoors and is also confident dealing with clients and helping develop new business.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
-. Minimum 5 years& relevant experience
- Agricultural, earthmoving or land preparation experience.
- Good knowledge of farming and agricultural machinery.
- Experience with land prep, planting and/or bailing.
- Must be willing and able to operate machinery.
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver& licence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Neat and presentable.
- Honest, reliable and hardworking.
- Able to work independently and take responsibility.
- Basic surveying knowledge would be an advantage.
- Sales/client liaison experience would be an advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Managing earthmoving and agricultural machinery on site.
- Land preparation and planting.
- Baling and agricultural contracting.
- Supervising operators and site staff.
- Personally operating machinery when required.
- Monitoring machine condition and basic maintenance.
- Managing daily site activities and productivity.
- Liaising directly with farmers and clients.
- Promoting and growing the company.
- Identifying and following up new business opportunities.
