Patensie Area – Eastern Cape: This company is an established producer of citrus and greenhouse crops in the Gamtoos Valley. They are looking for a dynamic Junior Production Manager to plan, implement and monitor production programs. The successful candidate will work with an experienced senior manager and grow in technical management and strategic planning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (advantageous)
- Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and digital monitoring systems.
- Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Adaptable, organized and passionate about sustainable production.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Plan and monitor pest control, fertilization and planting programs.
- Monitor cultivar trials and planting.
- Manage technical staff and production activities.
- Ensure compliance with standards such as Global GAP, Farming for the Future, DAFF and Siza
- Environmental.
- Develop and implement standard procedures and training for production practices.
- Purchase and manage pest control and fertilization expertise.
