
Lusaka Area – Zambia: The Installation Manager oversees all installation projects of irrigation systems, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards. The role includes managing technicians, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth communication between the operations, procurement, and engineering teams.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or agricultural engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing field installation teams, preferably in irrigation or construction.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and electrical/mechanical components.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.
- Valid driver’s license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all installation projects from start to completion.
- Lead the team of technicians and assign daily tasks.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within approved budgets.
- Review project designs, drawings, and specifications before installation.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports and completion certificates.
- Monitor team performance and enforce company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for materials and equipment.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and quality control.
- Report project progress and challenges to management on a regular basis.
