Tzaneen area, Limpopo Province – South Africa: The successful candidate will manage the day to day running of this Avocado & Macadamia Nut Farm. If you are self-motivated, dynamic with the necessary experience and expertise, this position could be for you.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous.
- At least 2 years’ experience in avocado/ macadamia farming.
- Ability to work with their hands and willing to learn.
- Computer literate.
- Energetic, hardworking, and self-driven individual.
- Ability to work with and motivate a team.
- Maintenance orientated.
- Valid driver’s license.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage day to day farming operations
- Work with the supervisors ensuring the tasks are executed well
- Manage and monitor irrigation, fertiliser and chemical applications on the farm
- Keep staff motivated, work well with people from all backgrounds
- Planning and ordering of consumables on time
- Admin and paperwork need to be detailed and accurate for certification and audits.
