Christiana area – North West: Our client requires the expertise of a dynamic and competent stable manager to join his operation.
This position will suit a single person and on farm accommodation will be provided.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Equine qualifications.
- Experience working in/ managing a competition stable.
- Previous experience in equine rehabilitation experience advantageous.
- Previous farming/livestock experience advantageous.
- A very high attention to detail and tidy approach is essential.
- A strong work ethic, with a focus on getting the job done effectively and efficiently.
- A team player with a strong practical approach to problem solving.
- Previous maintenance experience advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license.
KEY DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Overseeing daily running of the yard
- Daily chores – feeding, mucking out, tack cleaning, sweeping etc.
- Tacking up and untacking of horses.
- Staff and client management when appropriate.
- Riding work is possible with the right experience as is some competition riding.
- Manage supplies, feed, treatment for horses.
- Manage equestrian facilities and give feedback to the general manager.
