Port Elizabeth area, Eastern Cape Province – South Africa: Our client is looking for a Senior Packhouse Manager to join the team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Production or Agriculture (advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a packhouse / production / operations role (citrus).
- Proven experience managing teams.
- Strong understanding of food safety, cold chain management, and HACCP principles.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Computer literate (Excel and Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Planning and organising staff.
- Monitoring and improving productivity.
- Quality Management. Understanding of local and internal quality standards.
- Maintain good food, as well as, and health and safety standards in the facility.
- Staff management.
- Continuous improvement.
- Building credible relationships internal and external to the company.
- Willing to work irregular hours.
