Groblersdal Area – Limpopo: An established and highly regarded fruit-producing farm is seeking a dynamic Production Manager to oversee and optimise their table grape production.
The farm spans approximately 3,000 hectares and produces a wide range of premium citrus – including lemons, navels, valencias, soft citrus – along with table grapes. Their produce is exported to over 60 countries worldwide, including markets in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, Russia, and Canada, while also supplying leading supermarkets locally.
This role calls for a results-driven professional with the ability to set clear operational goals, streamline production processes, and deliver consistently high-quality yields.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOTLIMITED TO
· Manages irrigation programmes
· Manages fertilizer programmes
· Manages pest control programmes
· Manages weed and fungus control programmes
· Inputs into costs and budgets – have knowledge of prices and quantities
· Estimates and schedules labour
· Monitors use of and knows how to use farming equipment and machinery
· Supervises all steps of the production process including planting, fertilizing, harvesting and packing
· Supervises, checks and corrects work
· Reads and plans work programmes
· Manages time and attendance
· Issues verbal and written instructions to production labour teams
· Manages staff/team
