MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
-5 years’ hands-on experience in growing plants, preferably in a horticultural or agricultural setting.
- At least 6 years of experience working with labour in South Africa, with a strong understanding of local labour dynamics and regulations.
- Fluency in Xhosa is essential for effective communication with team members.
- Excellent operational and organizational skills, with a proven track record of managing complex farm activities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of horticultural crops.
- Manage and supervise farm labour teams, ensuring compliance with South African labour laws and promoting a positive work environment.
- Implement efficient organizational strategies to optimize production, resource allocation and workflow.
- Handle operational challenges and high-pressure situations with composure and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and sustainability.
