Tanzania – Tanzania: This role will oversee all IT-related processes and initiatives across the organization, ensuring the effectiveness, security, and alignment of IT with the company’s strategic goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in information technology computer science, or a related field. Added advantage: Master’s Degree in IT Management or related fields.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, ITIL) are advantageous

· 8-10 years of relevant experience in IT leadership, including at least 5 years in a managerial role within a complex, multi-departmental organization.

· Proven experience managing IT teams and IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with IT strategy development and implementation, experience with advanced cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery, incidents response, and IT service management.

· Experience in leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems implementation especially Microsoft Dynamics

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex IT issues.

· Deep understanding of IT hardware and software applications and technologies (MS Azure cloud infrastructure, ERP systems, Document Flow solutions, Master Data Management solutions etc.).

· Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex IT projects from inception to completion.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Proven track record in managing IT budgets and optimizing technology costs.

· In-depth knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.

· Proactive, innovative, and adaptable to rapidly changing technological trends.

· Excellent English is a must.

KEY OUTPUTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

IT Strategy Development and Leadership

· Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives and long-term goals

· Lead and inspire the IT team to ensure successful execution of IT projects and operational effectiveness.

· Provide expert advice to the executive team on emerging technology trends and opportunities to improve organizational performance.

· Evaluate and recommend industry-specific software and technologies that enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.

· Ensure that IT services and solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices in the industry.

Technology Infrastructure Implementation Management

· Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, mostly based on cloud Microsoft solutions, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability.

· Implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related support systems

· Manage the organization’s network, systems, and data storage to ensure smooth operations.

· Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective delivery of IT services and solutions.

· Ensure that hardware, software, and IT services are maintained and upgraded in accordance with company needs and technological advancements.

· Digitization of most of company’s processes.

Cybersecurity and Risk Management

· Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies to safeguard the organization’s data, systems, and technology infrastructure.

· Continuously assess the IT environment for vulnerabilities and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to data security and privacy.

· Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

· Prepare and manage IT disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a cyberattack or system failure.

IT Support and Service Delivery

· Oversee the IT support function to ensure high levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

· Develop and implement IT support processes and procedures to address technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

· Regularly assess IT support performance and identify areas for improvement in service delivery.

Budgeting and Cost Management

· Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency in the delivery of IT services and solutions.

· Continuously assess the cost-effectiveness of technology investments and identify opportunities to optimize expenditure.

· Work with the Finance Director to ensure the alignment of IT budgets with company financial goals.

Team Management

· Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and development.

· Collaborate with IT teams within the group to follow IT standards and guidelines.

· Innovation and Market Research

· Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments to advise the organization on potential technological improvements.

· Conduct research on technology solutions that could enhance business processes and support the company’s strategic objectives.

· Drive innovation by encouraging the team to explore new ideas and technologies that support business growth.
