
Namadzi & occasionally Namwera Area – Malawi: The business is a diversified agricultural operation comprising 10 farms producing macadamia, tobacco, and cattle, managed under a centralised structure. The General Manager is responsible for overall operational leadership across all farms, overseeing farm managers, livestock operations, crop production, labour, budgets, logistics, and compliance. The role focuses on coordinating multiple enterprises, improving productivity and efficiency, ensuring quality standards for export and regulated markets, and implementing strategic plans across the group. The operation employs a large permanent and seasonal workforce and operates within domestic, regional, and export markets, requiring strong leadership, financial discipline, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site agricultural systems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Agronomy, or related field
Minimum 12–15 years’ senior experience in commercial agriculture, including multi-farm or estate-level management
Proven track record overseeing mixed enterprises (tree crops, annual crops, and/or livestock) with full operational and budget responsibility
Demonstrated experience in leading senior teams, managing farm managers, and driving performance across multiple sites
Strong financial and operational skills, including budgeting, cost control, reporting, and strategic planning
Experience operating in Southern or East Africa, with knowledge of labour-intensive farming, regulatory compliance, and export-oriented agriculture
