The successful candidate will oversee operations on the farm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Computer literate – Excel and Word essential.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Mechanical experience.
- Proven experience managing staff, including large work teams.
- Stock management experience (horses / cattle).
- Pasture management experience, including the clearing of alien species.
- Fodder production experience.
- Able to liaise with the accounting team and participate in management meetings.
- Able to participate in the creation of robust management systems enabling smooth farm operations.
- Able to source necessary farm purchases at the best value.
- Compost experience.
- Worm farming experience (advantageous).
- Avocado orchard experience advantageous, but not essential – this role is not for an avocado production manager.
