Namadzi Area – Malawi: This is a diversified agricultural enterprise spread across 10 farms, producing macadamia, eucalyptus, tobacco, and beef and managed under a centralised structure with strong farm-level leadership. The Farm Manager’s role is responsible for overseeing daily operations across assigned units, including crop and livestock production, labour supervision, input management, and compliance with production standards. Macadamia orchards range from developing to productive blocks supplying export markets, while flue-cured tobacco provides seasonal cash flow and requires careful coordination of planting, harvesting, curing, and grading. The cattle operation supports diversification and land utilisation across the farms. The role requires hands-on management, planning, staff leadership, and coordination with senior management to achieve production, quality, and efficiency targets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture (or equivalent extensive practical experience)
- Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in commercial farming, including livestock and cash crops
- Proven ability to manage labour, production schedules, and farm operations
- Strong practical knowledge of machinery, inputs, and basic cost control
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to live and work in a rural environment
