Krugersdorp area – Gauteng: This organic farm producing pomegranates and other organic crops requires a skilled individual with practical experience in organic farming practices to join the team.
The successful candidate will start with a salary of R5 000 per month.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience working on an organic pomegranate farm.
- Practical knowledge of organic pest control methods, including organic pesticides, fungal sprays, and organic fertilizers.
- Ability to scout for pests and diseases and correctly identify common agricultural pests.
- Experience with post-harvest handling, including:
o Cold storage management.
o Sorting and grading fruit.
o Pomegranate deseeding processes advantageous.
- Working knowledge and experience in organic cultivation of the following crops:
o Avocado.
o Cape gooseberry.
o Granadilla.
o Lemons.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a farm team.
- Must be reliable, physically fit, and willing to work in an outdoor agricultural environment.
- Proven experience working on an organic pomegranate farm.
- Practical knowledge of organic pest control methods, including organic pesticides, fungal sprays, and organic fertilizers.
