Our client is looking for a Facility Director to join the team in KwaZulu Natal – South Africa
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry related field, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in operational management roles
- Demonstrated experience in agricultural, forestry, manufacturing, or industrial operations management
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to work independently
- Experience in business development and stakeholder management
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Oversee daily operations of the company production facility, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material procurement, production scheduling, and product shipment coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local customers, suppliers, and stakeholders while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the region
- Supervise and develop the local team, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring high performance standards
- Manage facility maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement solutions to minimize operational disruptions
- Serve as the primary liaison between local operations and management, providing regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and maintain necessary permits and certifications
