MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in agriculture with major in Horticulture or Agronomy
· At least 2 years practical farm experience in horticultural or agronomic production and staff supervision
· Integrity, self-motivated, attention to detail, fluent in English and Afrikaans, proficient with Excel
· Be hands-on and participate in all farm activities as is necessary on a compact, intense farm
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
· Co-ordinate staff in consultation with management team for land preparation, sowing, fertilization, irrigation
· management and weed control
· Record keeping of production
· Irrigation infrastructure maintenance
· Arrange for vehicle and farm equipment maintenance and keep records
