Camperdown area – Kwa-Zulu Natal: This is an early-career role for someone with an agriculture diploma who wants to grow fast. You will support the Farm Manager across all farm functions and must be capable of running the operation during short Farm Manager absences (up to 7 days).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or higher in Agriculture.
- Driver’s licence.
- English (fluent) and basic isiZulu.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in greenhouse environments.
- Willingness to learn fast and follow systems consistently.
- 0–1 years’ experience (entry-level acceptable).
- Pest and disease scouting and spray execution: yes.
- Excel: basic (templates, accurate data capture; simple formulas a plus).
- Exposure to tomato production (open-field or protected).
- Any irrigation/fertigation exposure (even basic).
- Experience with stock control, invoicing, or farm admin systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Crop and field operations (greenhouse/tunnels and open-field).
- Irrigation and fertigation support (under approval).
- Pest, disease and spray compliance.
- Labour supervision.
- Packhouse coordination.
- Administration and data accuracy (core focus).
- Farm Cover.
