Homa Bay county area – Kenya: This is an established business and one of the most successful scale ups in East Africa and they are looking to employ an Aquaculture Farm Operations Manager - Junior.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant Agricultural degree / diploma.
- Experience and affinity with agriculture / aquaculture / industrial environments.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to motivate and work with staff.
- Able to command a room and team, while being respectful and mindful of cultural differences.
- Strong communication skills.
- Maintenance orientated.
- Valid passport.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
- Project Manage range of projects on the farm. E.g., reorganizing the warehouse, establishing better entrance controls, scaling up the maintenance team (60%).
- Enforce discipline across teams. E.g., Check follows through on commitments, spot check attendance and adherence to schedules, establish stronger accountability mechanisms and provide training on them (40%).
